Description: Finance Officer/Town Clerk/HR The Town Of Chadbourn Is Seeking A Skilled, Knowledgeable Finance Officer And Town Clerk Including Some HR Responsibilities, To Perform Complex Professional Duties In Planning, Organizing, And Directing The Financial Activities Of The Town. The Role Of The Finance Officer Plans, Directs, Organizes And Administers A Variety Of Fiscal And Administrative Functions Including Disbursement And Accounting Of Revenues And Expenditures; Monitoring And Administering The Budget; Accounting; Purchasing; Investments; And Grant Administration. The Finance Officer Must Exercise Considerable Independent Judgement And Initiative In Planning And Directing The Fiscal Control And Procurement System. The Town Clerk Will Have A Proven Track Record In Community Engagement And Experience With Working Closely With Town Council And Town Management To Effectively Manage Council Agendas, Town Records, Public Records Requests, And Other Administrative, Leadership, And Support Responsibilities And Opportunities. As A Condition Of Employment For All Positions With The Town Of Chadbourn, The Selected Candidate Must Successfully Complete A Pre-Employment Background Check, Drug Screening, And Motor Vehicle Record Check. Bachelor’s Degree Or Higher In Accounting Preferred, Business, Finance, Or Public Administration And Management Experience Preferably In Local Government Finance Or An Equivalent Combination Of Education And Experience.
